Finally Using This Family Sign
I've had this sign sitting on top of the bookcase for about 7 years, it could be a little bit longer.
Originally the plan was to decoupage and hang it on the wall in our meals area. As you can guess, that never happened, simply because I never found a paper or serviette that I liked enough to use.
And so it sat and waited.
Last week I dragged it down, dusted it off and wiped it over with alcohol wipes. I had an idea!
Two coats of blue chalk paint and I love the look. It is the right colour for our kitchen, and I just love soft blues.
Now it is attached to the back of the kitchen dresser and I love it!
I used double sided pop dots to attach it to the dresser, so it can be easily removed without damaging the timber.
The rose heads in the bowl are from a bouquet Wayne bought me a while ago, and when they were finished, I hung them to dry.
I bought the sign from a store here called Arthur Dayley and from memory it was $5.
The paint is Dulux Duramax in blue and I bought it from Bunnings.
